Pacific Highway (Brisbane to Newcastle)

Here are some frequencies I got while travelling along the Pacific Highway back to Newcastle.


120.9000 - ATIS Archerfield
134.5000 - ATIS Brisbane
128.4500 - ATIS
119.7500 - ATIS
117.0000 - ATIS
126.2500 - ATIS
130.3000 - ATIS Coffs Harbour

130.4000
120.9500 - Coffs Harbour
118.2000 - Coffs Harbour Tower
122.6000

120.9000 - ATIS Archerfield - CORRECT
134.5000 - ATIS Brisbane - INCORRECT - 125.5 or 113.2 - THIS IS CG ATIS
128.4500 - ATIS - NOT ATIS - this is only AWIS for PMQ
119.7500 - ATIS - for where?? :?:
117.0000 - ATIS - THIS is CFS VOR/DME - also TX the ATIS
126.2500 - ATIS - for where?? :?:
130.3000 - ATIS Coffs Harbour - CORRECT
130.4000 - THIS IS BN CENTRE
120.9500 - Coffs Harbour - INCORRECT - THIS FREQ nothign to to with CFS Aerodrome - maybe a private company freq
118.2000 - Coffs Harbour Tower - CORRECT

128.4500 - ATIS - What's the AWIS and PMQ stand for?
119.7500 - Location ??
What's this mean: CFS VOR/DME ?
126.2500 - Location??
120.9500 -Airservices Tower 26 km WSW of Coffs Harbour MOUNT MOOMBIL

I cant see where 120.95 is in the list of ACC freqs - so i am guessing that it is a hardly used or secondary freq. Not normally used

The normal ATC freq used in and around the CFS area is 122.6

Yeah, I don't know. That's just according to ACMA. But, I just picked up them frequencies in that order from North to South (Bris. to New).

AWIS - Automatic Weather Information Service - used at non controlled aerodromes.
ATIS is used at controlled aerodromes.

PMQ - Code for Port Macquarie Aerodrome

What's this mean: CFS VOR/DME ?
VOR/DME - Visual Omni Range/Distance Measuring Equipment (navigation aids)
