592A is the northside daywork pumper based at enoggera
if one crew member is sick, 592 will proceed to that station and
take the place of the pump until it has a full crew.
591 based at annerley for southside as well
hope this helps
cheers,
jonno

not true. The daywork pumper's role is to standby at stations whose normal pumps are out of area for training or exercises. A crew member who has booked off sick is simply replaced by a member of the offgoing shift who is retained on overtime until a replacement arrives.

Hey mate, if a crew members goes down sick mid shift, do the day work pumpers cover or does the pump just get taken offline??

depends on how far into the shift it is mitch. if its early, the truck may drop off the run until an OT dude arrives. if its too late, the truck may be pulled off the run all together. sometimes stations run a spare firie, so that one may go out and backfill the spot. there are a few ways to do it. the day pump is usually booked to be doing other things most of the time, so it's very rare it will be used for something like that. and also, they only work monday to friday during thet day, so obviously cant be used at night or on the weekend
