Looks fantastic. Does anyone know when they'll be released? Or for that matter the RRP?
Specs:
5w/1w
IP67 waterproof
95 RX only channels between 403 and 512Mhz
2Ah Li Polymer battery
CTCSS, DCS and Selcall
New 8 pin accessory socket similar to Motorola and Icom
Turboscan - all 80 channels in two seconds
Commercial IP67 speaker mic and 6 way charger available
(edited to change IP65 to IP67)

It's interesting that it's competitor Icom have an IC-41S (non-waterproof) and also has a waterproof model IC-41

Waterproof,) yet GME use an S on the end of their waterproof model hand held?

Susceptible to water ingress?
Ingress Protection 65 is not the best, but if it got rained on, it would be fine. I probably wouldn't dunk it or drop it in the drink for too long. On another note, even though some external speaker mics for all of these waterproof units are IP65, I bought one that better matches the IC-41W (Extreme SMX400) but it wasn't cheap. It's mostly about the plug's ability to seal.
I was told GME antennae are made in China
I prefer Aussie ZCG myself. I'd buy a small GME hand held as a short range loan unit, but that's about it. The TX6500 radios are still the best for the average Joe wanting a cheaper but very functional radio compared to it's competitor here in Australia. For a little extra, the Icom IC-41W is a far superior choice if you're looking at this model.

Where the antenna is made shouldn't be an issue if it's a handheld.

You recon the IC41 is better?? I have the non waterproof model, and it's not bad, but without trying the GME I'm not sure I'd say the 41 is better then it..

I have the 41S and 41W I have dropped the 41s in the water at the boat ramp after completely drying it works fine

I stand corrected (and apologise for any confusion) but its actually IP67!
