Hi there.

The conductors are on 412.375 IIRC and the train or TTB is on one of the 418 freqs.

That is correct. Following the review of the 400 MHz band, several previously simplex frequencies are now repeater assignments. Victoria 1 or 469.7000 is one of them. After agreement amongst the railway administrations of all states and ratified by the Australian Railways Association, 450.0500 or if you are in NSW - WB has become the new local channel across the country. In NSW it will also remain a traffic channel. From memory WA is also using for traffic. Victoria has opted to use it in lieu of 469.7000.

BTW there is considerable change on the way for railways across the country, with several moving to DMR systems for various functions including traffic, yards, stations and general communications. This is separate to the move to ICE and DTRS by ARTC and Sydney Trains (as well as Victoria Rail Track, Transadelaide and Transperth) respectively.

Just a reminder that yarra trams are upgrading to a P25 system and the vline driver channels are moving to ICE (3G) but I have seen digital mics (Orange emg button) but I guess they have got a universal plug on the radios

Are you CERTAIN that Yarra Trams has selected P25? Or are you still assuming given some of the recent hardware changes in hubs could possibly handle P25, amongst other protocols?
