Post by geoffro316 »

9882khz USB - USAF HFGCS
11175khz USB - USAF HFGCS

8975khz - RNZAF (Airforce Auckland)

5696khz USB - International aviation HF distress frequency

9340khz USB - ADF VCN 03 - "Australia Control" Canberra to RAN and RAAF nationwide
10212khz USB - ADF VCN 04 - "Australia Control" Canberra to RAN and RAAF nationwide
12172khz USB - ADF VCN 05 - "Australia Control" Canberra to RAN and RAAF nationwide

All the above freqs are active. I was listening to 11175 last night with aircraft en-route to Australia from Guam (USAF). Also, the ADF VCN (Voice Control Net) freqs are fairly active.
Just had "Australia Control" doing a selcall check with "Aussie 417" on 12172.
Cheers

I'm using a Yaseu FT920 with a 10m Sirio vertical antenna (kinda like a Stationmaster but with ground elements). The antenna is only about 5m off the ground! I also have a home brew G5RV wire antenna in an inverted V configuration, but the vertical works best for receive only.
