Digital in ACT?

Post by kermitthefrog »

Hi - posting in NSW, query is mainly about ACT region though.

Just wondering whether there's much (unencrypted) digital in the ACT? Basically I'd just like to know whether it's worth spending the extra on a digital Rx?

From what i understand most ACT users are on the ACT TRN, it is just an extension of the NSWGRN in NSW, however most ACT users are encrypted, you will however still be able to listen to NSW users

NSWAS
FRNSW
NSWRFS
NSWSES ?
and the many many more. however alot of businesses are now deploying DMR and NXDN Digital Protocols most australian made scanners do not accommodate this modes however the US version are

Cheers - just looking at the NSWGRN now and there's more out there than I had realised. Thanks also for the tip re DMR and NXDN.
