Just a little FYI the QAS equivalent is ZERO 1... Well the 'newer' radio commands which QAS want to be phased in. Eg. Signal 1 replacing LR (Lima Romeo - Law Required - Paramedic in trouble, requiring immediate QPS backup.)

And all our meal break codes have changed,
Signal 11 replacing 411 (request approval to pick up a meal)
" 12 replacing 412 (reqeuesting sustenance break)
etc

But even so, when we had to use Signal 1 my partner just ended up saying: "Patient is brandishing a knife and threatening to harm himself, requesting QPS on scene."...

=) Hope some people find it interesting ;-)

I heard a code Red Red Red used during the Toowoomba floods. The QFRS Officer also proceeded to take over the Firecomm channel to talk to another appliance to coordinate some of the operations at one stage also. Was a very interesting couple of hours to listen to. I've never heard that many appliances on duty in Toowoomba as I did that day. I think at one stage there were just under 20 appliances responding to incidents.

QFRS Code 99

Post by Stretch »

There were two called under Firecom South East during the QLD floods. One was for a ten metre wall of water heading for the staging area for crews. The second was Firecom randomly called a code red asking any crews fatigued, injured or missing crew call in now. Luckily no one replied

Code 99 was given today for a house fire in St George. Given on arrival.

Unfortunately it was one of the FF's houses :(
