Hi guys,

When taking photo's, say for instance I take a photo of a car and publish it to we do I need to blur the number plate ?

i stopped taking for photos for that reason, amount of photos i take , takes forever to blur pates and faces.

Is there a law against it though ? or is it just common courtesy.

A number of photographers have asked Arts Law whether it is illegal to photograph car
number plates on the street. While State and Commonwealth legislation permits police and
roads authorities to use various Automatic Number Plate Recognition systems (like Safe-TCam)
to monitor criminal activity such as speeding, the law does not prevent photography
of car number plates.

So they are saying there is no law against photographing number plates

My rule, blur public cars not emergency services.

And avoid people. Otherwise you'll need a model release form.
