Hi all,

I under Brisbane has been encrypted for years, and more recently Gold Coast and Logan have aswell.

Is there anyone who knows what area is next likely to be encrypted or if there any plans for other areas to be encrypted. Also is there a timeframe for statewide encryption?

Brisbane and Ipswich changed across on Wednesday.

Next will be Sunny Coast to Noosa and west to Oakey. The network will slowly be expanded but as for a time frame on the whole state? I'd be surprised if it happened in the next 10 years. My theory is that as the old encrypted network is decommissioned from service that equipment will be set up in north QLD (Rocky, Townsville, Mackay etc)
