Hey all,
My school in Western Sydney (which Im not gonna disclose) is using IC-41PROs for teachers to talk with each other. They are NOT CBs. They have 2 channels.
I cant, however, find the frequency for it. Ive tried the ACMA database and map with no luck. Ive tried my scanner on Close Call, also no luck. And I cant imagine them being on the NSW Telco.
Any ideas? Should I keep trying with the scanner or is there a resource online where I can find it?
Thanks, Matty
Good Morning, The IC-41PRO can have commercial frequencies added. I have seen these radio come across my bench with 4 commercial frequencies programmed and the CB channels inhibited. A cheap Australian Approved handheld. Their frequency range is 450 MHz to 520 MHz according to the brochure. This being the case they could theoretically be anywhere on the UHF band. Sorry to throw a spanner in the works. Regards Yipyip
Thanks All for the quick replies,
I have had my Close Call on 136-174 and 225-520 with CTCSS/DCS search on. Im within 50 metres of them but not getting anything.
As I stated above, they have only 2 labelled channels. No CB, just 2 private channels.
Is there a website where I can find this info?

Your search parameters are too wide , and because of that taking to long to find correct freq while they are actually transmitting , close call is different from searching a specific band ,
only search the freq parameters the ic 41 can transmit on .

So just keep it to 450-520?
Yes , if you have close call correctly set and 50 meters away max it will work ,
If that fails you are doing something incorrect , or the radios in use are digital and Not a IC41
Nah not yet Radio_Australia,
I managed to get my hands on one of them. They ARE IC41-PROs with 2 channels
(PHS 1, PHS 2).
Nothing yet though. Im on school holidays now. Ill keep trying though.
Thanks for all your help, Mathew
Money is on UHF CB with a private offset tone
Scan 476.4000- 477.425mhz
i have checked the acma database (i have figured out what school you are at) but nothing listed.
Using the CB band means no requirement for a license and annual fee, only the cost of the outlaying for say half a dozen radios
