Today going down the Toowoomba range, spotted this on the up section. I knew Toowoomba had been talking about a bronto (Hence the new fire station with higher head room) BUT If its theirs, they might have to turf out 311j because they only have 6 bed rooms (2 beds per room) and currently have at least 12 On Permo staffing. There is a debate about the fact that if they get this bronto, they will get 2 new crew, and will have nowhere to sleep. BUT The Bligh governments point was "but Anna Bligh built you a new fire station".

I think you will find there are only 6 beds. 1 in each room as there is only 311A and 311L/K crewed permanently. 311J and 311S are crewed via callback of off duty crews.

Unless things have changed dramatically since I was last there, only the alpha and kilo are manned as suggested above

It has come a very long way from home just for a service. Is there not anyone in WA who can service them.

This is the truck it is in WA, But if it were that truck simply having a service, (apart from a new paint job) Why wouldn't have the markings on it?
