For Amateurs and SWL here 6m has been open all times of the day and night the last week. I have even been receiving vk4 and vk7 FM 53Mhz repeaters on my scanner here in Sydney.
SSB activity is on calling freq 50.110 USB, 52.100 USB (for Standard Licence holders) and 52.525 FM.
I was working the VK7 repeater last night on 53.700Mhz and it was 60dB over for hours.
Propagation is Sporadic E, have a look at this page for info,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sporadic_E_propagation.
This time of year it can be interesting to scan the low vhf bands and even FM Broadcasts can be received over 1000km.
Regards
