Hi guys,
I just started listening to pagers a few days ago using sdrsharp and pdw, and have a few questions on how the qas pagers work. I've started on my own capcode list, so some info on how the system works would be helpful for naming.
1. Are pagers assigned to a specific qas station?
2. Where are the qas pager messages sent from?
3. I've seen a few pagers only receive traffic incidents, and one that only receives traffic incidents and hospital load, what could those be?
4. What is the code after the suburb in dispach messages? (e.g. S59M12, G38A16, S99P3)
Some general pager questions:
5. What are the messages like "SEQ 458393" for?
6. What are the messages like "21:46 P4828436..HUTPDA2" for?
7. Are there any other pager frequencies in brisbane other than the vodafone ones?
I'm also going to be making some regular expressions (text parsing formulas) for extracting information from messages, would anyone want those made into web pages? (e.g. enter a dispach message and it converts it to an easily readable format and translates all the codes)
Also if anyone wants some software made for data processing or anything, I'd happily make it probably for a price.

Well done if they have, but could be when the GWN was linked into the analogue system. It appears that is now removed.
I guess the so called link will surface eventually. Not holding my breath though.
