Post by lb91 »

Apologies if this is on other threads but I can’t seem to find anything...is the tweed vra still on analogue or have they gone onto the p25 digital encrypted too?

Thanks :D

They were still analogue recently on 78.4625 at Springbrook, unless it has changed. I hear them receiving tasks from NSW Police communications, and talking to each other enroute to the jobs.

SES I have received on 416.5125 I think and some other frequencies around that (415.3125?), but I have it locked out usually as there is some sort of data type interference around here on that frequency.

RFS can be heard on 420.025 P25 digital but unencrypted.

NSW Ambulance still active on 468.5625.

Pity there are no services to listen to in South East QLD anymore 😩

Up until recent i was the comms officer for tweed vra.

We trialed a zello crosslink between our uhf vhf crossband repeator during 2019. It was turned off early 2020. TDRS still operates with vhf between vehicles when responding & uhf on scene.

Our jobs use to be tasked via vhf from dispatch, this is when you would hear the radio ring and the words " line 1 ringing, line 1 connected", and we would receive a text message with job details.

Now we receive a group phone call from dispatch and text message, this way specific details are not passed over the radio. However in the next few months all of this will change again.

the GRN has now been turned on in the area and TDRS has been issued 1! Radio.. it was decided that this would not be used untill all members and vehicles had this radio & MDT (MOBILE DATA TERMINAL)
