What is MPT1343 ?

Hello everyone, on the manual of my radio it says it is compatible with the MPT1343 Trunking network. My concern was, I've never heard of that. The closest network I can find to that is the MPT1327 network. I was also wondering if there are any MPT1343 networks still running in the Toowoomba area.

MPT1343 defines the Performance Specifications for MPT1327 equipment, including the Numbering system used on most Australian Networks.

As far as I am aware, the Telstra Fleetcom Sites on Gabbinbar, and Mt Perseverance, are still running. Try:-
416.3625 MHz for the Gabbinbar Control Channel, and 416.2500 MHz for the Mt Perseverance Control Channel.

The Biscom Site on Mt Kynoch may still be running. Try 166.700 MHz for the Control Channel.
Don't know about the Vertel Site on Mt Kynoch, they may have gone DMR. Anyway try 414.7875 for the MPT1327 Control Channel.

If you are thinking of using your Tait radio on these networks, then I recommend you don't.

Biscom VHF is being replaced with ShifttoDMR a hytera TIII network, most if not all of the MPT Networks licences are now expired
