Shane

Could you possibly sort the List alphabetically - would make it easier to find a particular entry.

perhaps this thread should be changed to QPS jargon, as there are little bits and pieces used that aren't abbreviations as such but are still commonly used.

Maverick anyone? ;) (not an abbreviation but still used from time to time)
QV (abbreviation dating back 20 years for a system that was decommissioned years ago, still used many times a day)
NEPI
Crimtrac
504 is used all the time as an adjective
Currently have: Simoco SRM9000 (TU), Yaesu FT65, GME XRS370, GME TX6155 x 2, Icom IC400 Pro x 2, Icom IC41 Pro x 3

I was under the impression that Maverick was supposed to be a "super dooper" replacement for MINDA, but it never eventuated.

NEPI - National Exchange of Police Information

CrimTrac - as was said "not an abbreviation" but the "Australian Police integrated crime investigation system" (from Queensland Police Annual Report 1999-2000 - Page 25).

As for using terms such as FOP. Yes, you might still hear it occassionally, like maybe once a month, whereas 5 or 10 years ago you would hear it multiple times a day, particularly on a Friday or Saturday night. Obviously, many Rules and Regulations have changed since then, making it unwise to continue making such comments.

Haven't heard FOP used for ages. Used to hear it all the time. As for 504, yes, have heard it used as an adjective and often as a noun.

Another for the list is SS, shift supervisor,
