Re: Uhf weather alerts
I remember that there was a repeater in Wagga Wagga that done UHF alerts on 30cm.
I believe that there is only one UHF weather amateur radio repeater.

I saw this when it was first posted. Today, I discover that UHF CB Channel 30 is to be used as an early warning system. Have a look at this link ...

Re: Uhf weather alerts
Do you just do a general broadcast of the BOM warnings, or only when someone calls in? Or both? Whatever, a serious, "good on you". Maybe this could be implemented more broadly, especially around SE Queensland during the storm season, possibly even using repeaters. I'm sure the management and moderators of this site would chip in some cash! Nah, just kidding guys, about management that is, not the rest. Just wanted to hear them faint!!!

I suppose this could be an automated system as well?
I am not sure of the legalities surrounding UBF CBRS and connecting/interfacing with a computer?
That sure is some dedication for those on CH30!
