Ha,it seems to be a quirky damb thing.Sometimes it will do what you want and sometimes you feel like putting an axe thru it.!!
I have had several temper tantrums with it.But it does do a lot when it is working ok for you.Most stuff here now is DMR.Is very few analog radios here now.Have seen one so far using NXDN
